SBL Couriers Leads the Way with Comprehensive Fire & General Safety Training for All Staff
At SBL Couriers, safety isn’t just a requirement — it’s a core value. In line with the UK’s workplace health and safety regulations, we recently conducted a comprehensive Fire Safety and General Workplace Safety Training session for our staff across all operational levels. This training reinforces our ongoing commitment to fostering a culture of preparedness, responsibility, and wellbeing across our business.
“Together, we’re not only delivering parcels — we’re delivering on our promise to keep our team safe, prepared, and supported every step of the way.”
Why Safety Matters
Every employer in the UK has a legal duty under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety, and welfare of their employees. Additionally, fire safety in the workplace is governed by the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, which mandates that every business must carry out a fire risk assessment and implement suitable fire precautions.
At SBL, we not only comply with these laws — we exceed them.
Keeping Everyone Informed, Prepared, and Safe
By conducting this training, we ensure that every team member — from drivers and warehouse operatives to office staff and management — understands their role in maintaining a safe workplace. An informed workforce is an empowered one, and with clear guidance and regular training, we continue to create a work environment where everyone can perform at their best without compromising their safety.
Compliance + Culture
We see regulatory compliance as the foundation of a broader culture of safety. It’s not enough to simply meet legal standards; we strive to build habits, awareness, and shared responsibility across our entire organisation. This training is part of an ongoing safety strategy, including:
- Regular safety drills
- Updated signage and clear escape routes
- Accessible reporting procedures
- Safety briefings for all new contracts and hires
A Message from Leadership
“At SBL Couriers, safety is a shared value — it’s not just about ticking boxes, but about protecting our people. Our recent training is one step in our ongoing mission to make safety second nature across all locations and roles.”
